I am a web developer, and I spend most of my time not waiting for downloads but waiting for my latest build of a website to publish to a test site. I use the excellent BeyondCompare to ensure I only upload what I need to upload.

But still, if a 2MB C# DLL has changed, so be it. And I must wait.

At work we host our own servers and have a dedicated line, so for 8.5 hours of my day I have blistering upload speeds across the web, which is nice. At home however, it's a different story.

I am with Virgin Media on their XL internet package (I think).

I think that means I get 256Kb upload and 20Mb download.

So I have began to wonder - are there any ISPs in the UK with good upload speeds?
